The Golden Bough

Salman Rushdie was born in Bombay in 1947 and lived in India until he was fourteen. Then he came to England where he wrote great books and won big prizes. He has written three books of non-fiction, a collection of stories, and ten novels, the latest of which is The Enchantress of Florence. In 1983, he was chosen as one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists and in 2007 he became a KBE.
