Abraham Verghese

Abraham Verghese is professor of medicine at Texas Tech University, El Paso. His book Soundings: A Doctor’s Life in the Age of Aids was published by Phoenix House in Britain and, under the title My Own Country, by Simon and Schuster in the United States.
