Adam Foulds

Adam Foulds read English at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford, and graduated from the University of East Anglia, with an MA in creative writing in 2001. His first novel, The Truth About these Strange Times (Weidenfeld and Nicolson), was published in 2007 and earned him both a Betty Trask Award and the title of ‘The Sunday Times’ Young Writer of the Year. In 2009 he won the Somerset Maugham Award and his novel, The Quickening Maze (Jonathan Cape), was short listed for the 2009 Man Booker Prize. In 2010 he was elected as a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
