Alice Munro

Alice Munro is the author of several collections of short stories including The Dance of the Happy Shades, The Lives of Girls and Women, The Progress of Love, Friend of My Youth, Open Secrets, The Love of a Good Woman, Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage. She is the recipient of numerous awards including a PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in Short Fiction, a National Critics Circle Award, an O Henry Award, the 2009 Booker Prize (for Too Much Happiness) and a Commonwealth Writers Prize.
