Andrew Motion

Andrew Motion was Britain’s Poet Laureate from 1999 to 2009. He has won the Arvon/Observer poetry prize, the John Llewelyn Rhys Prize, the Dylan Thomas Prize and the Somerset Maugham Award. His biography of Philip Larkin was published by Faber & Faber in 1992 and was awarded the Whitebread Prize for biography. He has honorary doctorates from the universities of Hull, Exeter, Brunel, Sheffield Hallam and the Open University.
