Anthony Shadid
Anthony Shadid was a foreign correspondent from the New York Times based in Beirut. He was the author of Night Draws Near: Iraq's People in the Shadow of America's War and Legacy of the Prophet: Despots, Democrats, and the New Politics of Islam. He won the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting in 2004 and 2010. He died while on assignment in 2012. His memoir, House of Stone about rebuilding his family home in Lebanon will be published in the UK on 2 August by Granta Books.
