Günter Grass

Günter Grass was born in Danzig in 1927. His novels include The Danzig Trilogy (comprising The Tin Drum, Cat and Mouse and Dog Years), The Call of the Toad and The Flounder). He is also a poet, playwright and essayist. His novel My Century: A Novel of Stories is published by Faber in the UK and Harvest Books in the US. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1999.
