Jan Morris is the author of over forty books including Venice, Oxford and Pax Britannica (Faber/Harvest), a three-volume history of the British Empire. Her final collection of reportage and travel pieces is A Writer’s World, 1950-2000 (Faber/W. W. Norton). She lives in Wales.
