Kseniya Melnik

One of Granta’s New Voices with her story ‘The Witch’, Kseniya Melnik was born in Magadan in the far East of Russia, and emigrated to Alaska in 1998, at the age of fifteen. She received her MFA from New York University in 2010 and has taught creative writing there as an adjunct professor, and online at Our Stories Literary Journal. Her book reviews have appeared in the Brooklyn Rail. She is currently at work on a collection of stories and a novel. ‘The Witch’ is the first fiction she has published.
