Margaret Atwood

Margaret Atwood was born in Ottawa in 1939. An author of poetry, children's books and non-fiction, she is best known as a writer of fiction. Her thirteen novels include the Booker-winning The Blind Assassin (2000) and The Handmaid's Tale (1985). Her most recent book, The Year of The Flood was published in 2009.
