Rowan Ricardo Phillips
Rowan Ricardo Phillips is a poet, essayist, and translator. He is the author of The Ground (Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, 2012), When Blackness Rhymes with Blackness (Dalkey Archive, 2010), and a translation from the Catalan of Salvador Espriu’s Ariadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth (Dalkey Archive, 2012).
He has taught at Harvard and Columbia and is currently Associate Professor of English and Director of the Poetry Center at The State University of New York at Stony Brook. He lives in New York City and Barcelona.
