Ryszard Kapuscinski

Ryszard Kapuscinski was a prolific historian and journalist. His first book was The Polish Bush, which appeared in 1962 and was an immediate bestseller. The Emperor, the first of his works to be translated into English, was made into a play produced by Jonathan Miller. His other books include Another Day of Life about the war in Angola, and Shah of Shahs, based on the revolution in Iran. Travels with Herodotus was published shortly before his death in 2007.
