Sharon Olds

Sharon Olds won the National Book Critics Circle Award for poetry in 1983 for her collection The Dead and the Living, and is also a recipient of the San Francisco Poetry Center Award and the Harriet Monroe Poetry Award. From 1998 to 2000 she was the New York State Poet Laureate. She currently holds the Erich Maria Remarque Professorship at New York University.
