Susan Minot is the author of the novels Monkeys, Folly, Evening and Rapture, and the story collections Lust and Other Stories and Poems 4 A.M. ‘Thirty Girls’, which features in Granta 118: Exit Strategies, is based on the real story of the Lord’s Resistance Army kidnapping of Catholic schoolgirls in northern Uganda.
