  <p>I very much enjoyed this piece and the author's video discussion of his thoughts behind it.  I just finished reading Macfarlane's THE WILD PLACES.  It's a beautifully written book and a great example of the new type of nature book he described (travel/nature/literary/historical).</p><p></p>
