  1. And then you start to think of a motive, just as it was hard to believe that this was the work of Islamic terrorists, as was claimed by all and sundry, to begin with, you find it hard to believe the reasons we are being given, by this robot . . . for want of a better word.

Who has it in for Norway, you ask yourself?

    I and the public know
    What all schoolchildren learn,
Those to whom evil is done
    Do evil in return.

And then you think that no people could be so barbaric . . . and then you think of the algorithm. Did the algorithm keep sending this man, to where he wanted to go?

Lee H. Oswald, in a letter to his brother:

'Happiness is not based on oneself, it does not consist of a small home, of taking and getting. Happiness is taking part in the struggle, where there is no borderline between one's own personal world, and the world in general.'

Am just about to begin reading Libra by Don DeLillo , , , and can't stop thinking about that line by Geldof :

'the silicon chip inside her head, got switched to overload'.

  3. 'The most difficult character in comedy is that of the fool, and he must be no simpleton that plays that part.'
