I have just concluded a year on a moderate daily dose of Citalopram, an updated SSRI I understand.
It helped overcome considerable panic, anxiety and dislocation after a totally unexpected row and sacking from a charity I built over 5 years.
Tapering off was rocky, with very strange dreams and distortions of self.

It helped considerably, no total answer of course but smoothed some rough edges. My drive to achieve and create changes diminished along with the anger frustration and hurt.
Back in the 'real' world is the place to be.

Recently bundled into unchosen retirement with time for reflection I take to heart Tim's rumination of the waste in not living in the present.
Mostly though it is his ponderings in 'From Here to Divinity' recently in 'The Times' and brought to my attention by a sister with whom I've had running disagreements over religious belief.

Please keep those ideas/thoughts coming/developing Tim, perhaps in Granta?
