  4. After the sound.

    In the air,
    with the voice
    of a clarinet,
    I hear a luminous
    sound that tries
    to discover a
    little emotion,
    a charming behaviour
    and the tender
    delight....

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  5. Folies de jeunesse.

    Dans le son
    perpétuel de un
    automne très
    heureux j'écoute
    le silence, le chant
    d'un berger sur
    le seuil du soleil
    et la timidité,
    la naturelle voix
    qui rappelle la
    jeunesse.

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  6. Good to read this article again. Is there any chance it could be kept online? I linked the article from my website www.medtner.org.uk with the permission of the author and the editors in 2006, but had to remove the link when the article was removed. I have restored it.

  7. Thanks. I like the album, though I like the cover note more....

  8. Thank you for the insightful look at my favorite artist. I would recommend at least giving "1.Outside" a listen. His vocal on "Strangers When We Meet" is supreme.

  9. Délicatesse.

    Dans l'ombre
    de la nuit il
    y a le regard
    qui brille
    tendrement
    comme le chant
    du matin
    quand la neige
    disparaît.....

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  10. Loved reading the snappy, erotic works. I guess David Backer's 'Eight-Legged Freaks’ was real good, but so were the others. Mark's also did a circus in the mind.

  11. A chilling look at self destruction through perfection.

  12. So naively correct... Perfection is anatomical deception... A diversion from "essence" to "being" only.

  13. While I find the runner-ups all pretty good. The chosen winner is just mind numbing and a bit painful to me.

  14. On a purpose.

    The light
    of a sunshine
    invents in a
    moment a
    luminous care:
    inside my
    heart, in a little
    desire, with
    simplicity....

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  15. Where is 'Les Beaux'? Were you alluding to 'Les Baux' in Vaucluse? If so you could not have been looking at the Pyrenees; they are about 250 miles away the other side of the Cevennes. Would you be so kind as to disclose the name of this restaurant?

  16. Quelquefois dans mon coeur....

    Cette lumière
    m'appelle, dans
    le coeur de
    la nuit, comme
    un son perpétuel
    qui souffle dans
    le rêve la chanson
    de la vie: c'est
    la délicate neige,
    la naturelle voix
    qui rappelle la
    jeunesse....

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  17. Excellent piece, Patrick -- and it sounds just like you. It's comforting that after all these years you are still so authentically the you I've known since we were kids.

  18. Momento de serenidad.

    Como un
    dulce momento
    que reposa
    silente en el
    canto del mar,
    como un sueño
    infinito y una
    triste poesía.....

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  19. Sorry.. commenting without reading, but thought you would like to know.. it's painfully long!

  20. I'd have to agree with Sarabjeet: A good story but just how close it cuts to Jha's The Blue Bedspread is so, so uncanny. Which leaves you wondering about this story's originality and authenticity, and of voice and prose.

  21. The authors Vulnerability is Sweet and heartbreaking. I read and re-read this piece. Beautiful.

  22. Le son de la douceur.

    Le murmure du
    vent donne une
    triste harmonie,
    comme le souffle
    du soleil qui
    rappelle tendrement
    la rime perpétuelle
    de la délicate
    neige: et encore
    disparaît, dans
    le son de la vie...

    Francesco Sinibaldi

  23. I agree with the interviewer, this story has a great rhythm to it.

  24. This piece is a marvel. There is truly no other love letter like it. I wish more simple acts and honest feelings vetted such magical progeny as this.

  25. What a great interview. I especially enjoyed the writer's parallel treatment of her math career to her writing one. Very provocative.
