From Granta readers

The new Granta website is now a month old. I want to thank everyone who has emailed me their suggestions, questions and comments. Thanks for taking the time to write, and for being so thoughtful and helpful.

Our comment feature will soon be arriving on the site, but until then I want to use this space as a forum for readers’ responses. And I’d like to address our most frequently asked questions, which are:

When will you have an RSS feed? When will you have a comment facility?

I’m happy to say that in July we’ll be launching our finished site, with all of this functionality in place. Its the interactive aspects of the Internet that are, for me, the most exciting.

What are Granta’s plans for the site?

We’d like granta.com to be internationalist in tone, and we’ll be publishing stories by, and interviews with, writers from around the world. We’ll continue to publish high-quality essays, articles and dispatches, as well as video interviews, discussions and podcasts. We’ll be steadily expanding granta.com, as we put up more back issues of the magazine, more articles from the archive and more online-only content.

I do hope that readers will continue to email me their thoughts and ideas for the site.
