Going Back: Introduction

Going Back’, Granta’s latest issue, will be on sale on Thursday 15 July. Below, John Freeman introduces the issue – which features new fiction by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Leila Aboulela and Elizabeth McCracken, as well as letters from Iris Murdoch to Raymond Queneau and the world’s first extract of Mark Twain’s forthcoming autobiography.
