Alex Clark is the new editor of Granta

Granta is delighted to announce that Alex Clark has been appointed as the new editor of Granta magazine. Currently deputy editor, she will take up the post later in the year.

MD David Graham says, ‘Alex Clark has been a hugely impressive deputy – demonstrating clear and intelligent literary judgement and calm leadership.
I am delighted she has agreed to become the new editor at Granta. I look forward to working with her more closely and continuing to build on the good foundations laid down by Jason Cowley’.

Publisher Sigrid Rausing adds, ‘We are extremely happy to make this announcement, not least because she will be the first woman editor of Granta. Whilst this is not in any sense the reason for her appointment, it is still cause for celebration’.
