This Weekend Only
Now in its fifth year, the Small Wonder Literary Festival in Charleston, east Sussex, has gone from strength to strength. This year’s festival, which runs from Thursday 18 September to Sunday 21 September, sees the welcome return of William Trevor, the master of the short story, who describes Small Wonder as ‘the best literary festival I have ever attended’, as well as events featuring Anne Enright (winner of last year’s Man Booker Prize), Alan Hollinghurst (winner of the 2004 Man Booker Prize), Penelope Lively, Ali Smith, Lionel Shriver, Toby Litt, Naomi Alderman, Shena Mackay and many others.
The festival programme includes readings, workshops, illustrated talks, digital demonstrations, films, dramatizations, re-interpretations and a chance to participate in the Small Wonder Slam.
Granta is giving away four pairs of tickets to all five Small Wonder events on Saturday, and four pairs of tickets to all five events on Sunday. The first eight people to email giveaway@granta.com will receive two tickets each.
Please include your full name in your email and specify whether you’d prefer to attend the events on Saturday (September 20) or Sunday (September 21). Tickets are to be collected from the festival, on the day.
