Granta Panel Discussion
On September 23, Granta celebrated the launch of its Chicago issue with a panel discussion at London’s Southbank Centre. Contributors to ‘Chicago’ Dinaw Mengestu, Maria Venegas and Neil Steinberg read from their essays and debated the virtues and vices of the Second City, its distinctions, divisions and history of inequality. The panel was moderated by Granta editor John Freeman, and was introduced by the Southbank Centre’s Martin Colthorpe.
